RYA and SAS approved, Atlantic Yachting offer professional sailing instruction in the alluring and unique surrounds of South Africa’s West Coast. Based in Langebaan, this picturesque town is located on the shores of a magnificent lagoon – one of South Africa’s greatest wonders. THIS WORLD CLASS SAIL TRAINING PLAYGROUND MEETS THE ONLY APPROVED RYA EXAMINATION STANDARD IN THE COUNTRY.

RYA & SAS Training Centre
Our RYA Training Centre’s well-equipped and well maintained L34 mono hull yachts comply with the stringent RYA standard and also in addition, with the SAMSA(South African Marine Safety Authority) Code of Practice for sail training yachts. Both RYA and SAS bodies, ensuring continued excellent standards and equipment inspect us annually.

Situated on the lagoon, Langebaan is only 1 hour’s drive North from Cape Town. This area offers ideal sailing conditions with moderate to strong winds coupled with fast flowing currents and open seas appealing to a more competent and adventurous yachtsman, while in contrast the lagoon’s calm and relatively sheltered waters and more beneficial to those new to sailing.
